Central Idea: a MMORPG game about dragons.
Starting Up: make up your character; chose the type of dragon and element (fire, water, forest, etc) you will start the game as a young dragon that has no wings (just two small packages coming out from the dragon's back. As a young you will need to complete specific quests and training for controlling your tail, breathe, learn how to hunt, to fight and use your skills, explain the basic things of the game such as the experience points, the treasure, etc.
Every time you gain a level, your dragon will gain 10 points you will be able to use and increase your dragon's stamina, ground speed, flight speed and strength. With the experience points your get by fighting, hunting and gaining treasures, you will be able to increase your dragon's combat skills you will use with NPC monsters and in PvP when your dragon is older.
Treasure Organization: each dragon will have a treasure that includes golden coins, crowns, swords and that medieval stuff (everything same value). All this treasures will be stored in different "banks" hidden through the map; banks will be located in caves, waterfalls, special parts of forests, etc. With this treasure you will be able to buy health potions, food, weapons, items for quests, etc.
Castles: in the game there will be castles in which clan leaders will be able to claim a castle as theirs. If the clan leaders gain a castle, all its treasure will be stored there obligatory (which should be really high as for possessing a castle), so if another clan threatens the castle and a war/fight begins, if the clan/ clan leader is beaten there, the treasure will go to the new clan, along with the castle.
Clans: every member will be able to create a clan, not depending in the level or age of your dragon (but of course, the more experienced and old is your dragon, the better clan members you will have).
Clans will be able to fight for territory, castles, and treasures and participate in events (same with loner dragons). A special screen will exist for you to manage your clan hierarchy, see your clan members; where they are, what level they are, health and experience points.
Chat: the chat would be filtered for some stuff, but mostly free from everything (this kind of games always attract a more mature audience, since it is not entirely free, and it would be rated PG 13+ or more). There will be three kinds of chat; a global one, commercial and clan.
Global:shout things for people that are in the same world part from you to read.
Commercial:used for world speak (everyone will be able to read what you say, in every part of the world map).
Clan:private chat for you and your clan members.
EDIT 1:
Hunting: unlike other games, there will not be a specific hunting ground, prey herds will be dispersed through the entire world map and will be constantly moving. There will be different types of prey, and some monsters you fight will also serve as food.
For locating prey more easily, you will be able to go into hunting mode in your radar (also compass), prey will be marked in color points.
When hunting, you will be able to run and catch your prey, or fly and kill them. Hunting will be most likely easy; as it is not the main thing you will do in the game (it is also a feature that will be more used by young dragons that are still not able to fly). Food will be cheap in towns, and by selling food you will not earn much treasure.
Eating: will be based in dinosaur’s way of eating (ripping a piece of meat off, throwing it some centimeters in the air and then swallowing). Your dragon will step over the prey carcass before making all of this; blood will remain in your dragon’s mouth and will be automatically removed after 10 minutes of eating.
Hunting will be used to regain health (there will also be potions for this), gain weight (in your status but not physically, if you are too underweight you might die).
Flying: you would need to start trotting and gradually gain speed (which you will not be able to do if you are too tired or if your health is low. If you have half health, your dragon will not be able to gain height as fast as a healthy dragon that will probably rise in a minute), when the speedometer is to the top, you will need to press F5 (you chose which F to press, this will also happen with your skills), then your dragon will make a short wing motion, and then you will fly. The less health you have, the more weird and slow will be the flying motion. The cool thing is that there will be a part where you will be able to fight in the sky. When flying you will decide how much speed or acceleration your dragon should have (ground speed, flight speed, strength and else will be defined by you, since every time you gain a level you will be able to level up this features).
Social Arenas: each castle or the castle's town will be a social arena; of course you will be able to chat in all over the map and game, but in social arenas there will be the event meetings (as massive fights for a castle, ranking up a hierarchy, seeing which clan is stronger, etc). If there is no event running, you shouldn’t be able to PvP in town, as that ability will be disabled there.
EDIT 2:
Animations: there will be all kinds of animations including dragon dances (mostly awkward, that includes courtship movements and sounds, wing dance, and some basic dance movements), all kinds of facial expressions, tail movements, wing movements, dominant/submissive/neutral poses, etc. (There will be actually a lot of them for naming them all, but expect the best for the first version of the game [not the demo])
Events: special events as massive fights between clans for the ownership of a castle, new year event with fireworks, Halloween events with zombie creatures and a special world map, Easter egg hunt, Dragon Wars (two bands fight between each other), random events as monsters attacking a specific castle and you have to defend it, etc. All this events will be announced at the official game forums and in the game itself.
Items: there will be all kind of items, some of them buyable, others that you will only obtain them through quests, and others that only monsters will drop.
Wearable items:there will be wearable items such as necklace, amulets, hair amulets, piercings, rings and armor. Most of these items will be dropped by powerful bosses (like armor, which you will not be able to buy), necklaces and rings will be dropped by difficult monsters, but nothing unbeatable.
Buyable items:health potions, poison recover potions (some dragons will have the ability to poison you via saliva), some wearable items, scrolls for making your dragon more powerful (not generally but maybe making your character’s claws or bite more dangerous), mana potions (looking for a more original name), etc.
Quest items:quest items will be the second ones easier to get (the first one is buying them), special wearable items will be given such as hats, a fire tail (and other types), crowns, and else.
Death: this feature of the game that will be quite frequent in all characters and it will not be too complicated. Each time you die you will lose a portion of the treasure you have in your chest (inventory) and experience points (sometimes to the point you lose a level), after reviving (with a special dead song and animation) you will not be able to fly, run or move too agile or fast for a couple minutes (that way you will need to be extremely careful when fighting a boss or a more powerful monster/player than you).
Player Lists: you will have three different player lists (personal); friend list, ignore list and enemy list. In your friend list you will of course have your friends; if they accept your friend request you will be able to see where they are, in what server and part of the map, the level there are and the health they have at that moment; a private chat system will be added for your friends.
The ignore list will be for those users that are spamming you, abusing via chat, or you just dislike; they will not be able to PM you, you will not see them in the general/world chat.
Enemy list will be for those war purposes, but if there is someone you dislike and you want to bully; there you have the enemy list. It will work the same way as with the friend one (via request), though you will not be able to start a private chat. Whenever one of your enemies walks in front of you or close to you, your dragon will instantly turn its head for looking at the foe with a frowning face and blowing smoke through the nose, other anxious characteristics will be added as a moving tail, and maybe clawing the ground.
Quest Campaign mode: the quest campaign mode will be a special feature of the game; it will work as a clan but for short periods of time. QC mode will be useful for accomplishing quests that need to be done in groups (example: 5+ dragons for beating three bosses and traveling somewhere). For starting this mode you first need to recruit people in social arenas and make sure they have the same available quest (meaning that they will need to and talk with the same NPC character you did) send them a QCM request; the same panel for the clan will pop-up (showing same characteristics) . Then start the quest, after the quest is done the prize will be shared with the campaign peeps, and special stuff will be rewarded (whenever you complete a quest, this will appear in your character profile). In other words, this is like a party, but I saw this meaning too late as for describing it that way.
This mode is also available when hunting; as you will be able to create temporal hunting groups.
NOTE: this post under constant construction.
